Ladder's Shadow in Concrete
A working ladder at rest, still wearing every job it has finished.
A wooden stepladder, its treads crusted with dried paint, stands folded against a rough concrete wall beside a doorway. Deep shadow swallows the right half of the frame while a pale plaster column brightens the left, leaving the ladder suspended between them. A vent grille sits high above. The monochrome treatment strips the scene to texture and tone, turning an ordinary tool into a study of wear, geometry and quiet light.
