Light traces every edge while the centre holds its dark.
A succulent photographed from directly above, its leaves spiralling out from a closed central bud in a tight rosette. In monochrome the plant reads as pure structure: thin bright lines along each leaf margin, broad planes falling away into near-black, the spines at the tips catching just enough light to register. The symmetry is exact without being mechanical, and the deep tonal range keeps the eye moving inward.
