No. 161The Outdoors
Resilience Among the Stones
Autumn's last colour caught in a bed of rain-slick stone.
Shot straight down onto a rain-wet shingle bed, this frame gathers hundreds of dark pebbles into a mosaic of brown, slate and near-black. Two fallen leaves interrupt it: one still holding green at its base, the other bleached to amber. The soft overcast light keeps every stone's wet sheen without glare, and the scattered pale pebbles read like quiet punctuation across the field.
